Royce A. Belcher, cpa

Royce received his Bachelor of Business Administration  degree from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, in May 1989 majoring in Accounting. Upon graduating he was awarded Cumberland University's Bankers Award in Accounting. He obtained his Certified Public Accounting Certificate in 1991.

Royce is the owner of the Accounting firm Royce A. Belcher, CPA. He acquired the firm on January 1, 2003 from Gwen H. Selby, CPA. During his career, he held the position of Firm Director and Accounting and Tax Manager for the Selby accounting firm, where he had been employed since October, 1988. 

Royce has extensive experience in accounting and tax matters, with specialties in health care including physician, home health care and nursing home management, billing (Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance) and taxation. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the construction, retail, and manufacturing industries and services of mergers and acquisition, business valuation, litigation support, estate taxation and personal finance planning.

Royce's professional memberships include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants where he served on the Small Business Committee, including writing articles for the society for publication and he is currently a member of the Health Care Conference committee. He was actively involved in Kiwanis, where he has served on the Board of Directors and as president of the organization and Rotary International as well as a board member and treasurer for Habitat for Humanity of Wilson County. Royce has served on the Alumni Board of Directors and is currently serving on the Business and Advisory Council Board at Cumberland University. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors for the Lebanon and Wilson County Business Resource Center and on the Board of Directors for Prospect, Inc. Royce currently serves on the Board of Directors at Empower Me Day Camp, Inc.

Royce enjoys farming on his family Century Farm, traveling and running Spartan races all over the country.

Doris Jessie

Doris graduated from Trevecca Nazarene College in May 1990 with her Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

After graduation she worked for several large corporations, she later decided to enter the public sector.

She began working with Royce at Gwen Selby, CPA in December 1996. Doris is involved in all aspects of accounting for their clients from accounts payable and paying their bills timely, payroll, depositing of payroll taxes timely, to daily reconcilement of their bank accounts and credit card accounts. With extensive knowledge of payroll and its challenges, Doris is a great resource for any of your concerns. She works closely with the other accountants to ensure the clients’ needs are met and with Royce to oversee the training of the college students during their internships with the firm.

From the beginning of their work relationship, they wanted clients to feel as if they were like family and they continue to adhere to that philosophy today.

Danny Kasic

Originally from Croatia, Danny has been a Lebanon and Wilson County resident since 1996. Graduating from Cumberland University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he continued his education at CU and went on to receive a Master's degree in Business. 

Danny has been a team member of Royce A. Belcher, CPA since 2005. His focus includes sales tax, business tax, payroll taxes and other local and state tax requirements. He has extensive experience in various budget and financial reporting and is proficient in Peachtree and Quickbooks accounting software setup and use.
